Iconizer Pro 1.5 or later fully supports advanced Mask at 8 bits depth. It automatically recognizes a 8 bits grayscale image named "Mask" which is located in the same folder as Iconizer Pro application. The output yields a transparent icon set with degree of transparency varied as described in Mask picture. The "Mask" picture can be either QuickTime-compatible image or picture clipping. This feature is suitable for Kaleidoscope users who have non-white Finder's window background.
To use this option : Method 1
1. Prepare your source image which you want to iconize.
2. Prepare your Mask which must be a 8 bits grayscale image with the same dimension as source image.
3. Set the name of your Mask image to "Mask".
4. Put your Mask image into the folder where Iconizer Pro application is located.
5. Set your source image for Iconizer Pro.
6. Set a Destination Folder for Iconizer Pro.
7. Make sure that "Border Mask" option in the Edit Menu is checked although it is checked by default.
8. Press the Iconize button from Iconizer Pro's main window.
To use this option : Method 2
1. Install Adobe Photoshop with the Iconizer Pro Plug-in.
2. Use the exporting feature of the plug-in, see the plug-in's Read Me for details.
To use this option : Method 3
1. Iconizer Pro 1.7.1 or later allow users to import the Mask directly.
2. Open the Iconizer Pro application.
3. Select the target picture.
4. Select the Mask picture by using "Select Mask" command of the "File" menu.
5. Select the destination folder.
6. Press the Iconize button from Iconizer Pro's main window.

Note:
Although the Mask picture can be a JPEG image, users should avoid this format because it results in low-quality outputs.
